Shop Hours and Scheduling

Blood Money Tattoo Studio is open from 12-8 pm and closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. 

Please contact the shop (864-619-6189) or our artists individually (See "Meet The Artists") to set up a consultation or an appointment as needed.

Deposits, Minimums, and Rates

The shop requires at least a $50 cash deposit upon making an appointment. This will be discussed with your artist during a consultation. The deposit will be subtracted from the final price of the tattoo. 

Blood Money Tattoo Studio has a shop minimum of $60 and an average hourly rate of  $150. Though each artist has different rates. Most single session tattoos can be priced out by the artist during the consultation.

Neck, Head, Face Tattoos, Minors, and Piercings

Blood Money Tattoo Studio does NOT offer face, neck, or head tattoos due to South Carolina Law. 

South Carolina also prohibits tattoo shops from offering piercings, so Blood Money Tattoo Studio, does not offer piercings.

The Artists at Blood Money Tattoo Studio do NOT tattoo anyone under the age of 18 also due to South Carolina Law, but also because it causes more problems than it cures.

However, if you'd like to come in and have a consultation and prepare for your first tattoo as your 18th birthday approaches, we'd be happy to work with you!

 Please ensure that you bring a form of ID with you that includes a photo of you and your birthdate.

 Walk-Ins

We do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but only appointments are guaranteed. We suggest calling ahead to check for last minute availability. Appointments are preferred.

Touch Ups

Blood Money Tattoo Studio will offer a free touch up on a new tattoo from the shop for 3 months. ​

Depending on the circumstances however, we have a right to refuse to do a touch up for free. 

i.e. going swimming with a new tattoo, not following after care instructions, getting a spray on tan on your new tattoo, etc.

After Care

1. Wait at least 1 hour to remove the bandage provided within 8 hours of application.

2. Once bandage is removed, wash with warm water and fragrance free, anti-bacterial soap. Lather and rinse with only a clean hand. Using light pressure in a circular motion, clean any blood and plasma.

3. Pat your tattoo dry with a clean cloth, wait 15 minutes to apply a light coat of fragrance free, water based ointment. 

4. Wash 2-5 times a day, reapply ointment after each wash and as needed. Apply whenever your tattoo starts feeling dry, or starts to feel itchy. 

Repeat this process every day for 2-3 weeks.

After about 3 days, if you would like, you may switch from your ointment to a fragrance free, water based lotion. 

If your tattoo is on a joint

Please follow steps 1 and 2, but then wrap your tattoo in saran wrap with no ointment for 8 hours every day for 3 days. When not in saran wrap, follow instructions above as regular.

Restrictions

Do not expose your tattoo to sunlight or a tanning bed.

Stay out of any submergible situations. Do not soak your tattoo.

Do not pick at or scratch at your tattoo. 

Please be aware and cautious of wearing tight clothing.

Avoid applying anything of fragrance to your tattoo. 

Keep your tattoo clean and out of harm’s way.

Possible Side Effects 

Possible side effects may include, but are not limited to: Allergic reactions to ink, dyes, pigments, etc. Skin irritation, swelling and redness to the area, and possible risk of infection. If the tattoo is properly cared for using the aftercare instructions above, the chance of infection is minimal if existent at all. Flaking, Peeling, and Itching are all normal side effects.

Infection Control

Watch for signs of infection, including increased redness, pain, swelling, heat, or foul smell coming from the tattoo. If you notice one or more of these symptoms do not hesitate to contact your doctor immediately.
